Seeing Spencer

Happiness is a bucket of water. Watch till the end. (But you can leave your sound off - it's just mom/Toby babble.)  

This water is great. I don't believe Toby won't play in it. It's the best. Toby, do you see me? I'm right here. Wet and loving life!  

Should I play in the water? I'm not sure.  That was awesome!   

This is Spencer's favorite book for bedtime.   

OMG! What? It was exciting.   

This Ice Cream Shop is the best in town. Have you tried the chocolate chip? Delish. Don't even think of cutting in front me. I'm small but I'm quick!  

Mom said I can't throw books off the shelf at the library. So I'd like to check out this cart of books...so I can throw them on the floor at home.  

The face you make when someone's chasing you in a game of tag but you made it safely to base. (Not sure why his legs and feet look exceptionally long in this photo. Must have been a weird angle.)  

When you find yourself riding a zebra and you think you like it but you're not entirely sure...  

I sincerely hope that Spencer is as excited to actually walk as he is about using his walker.  

This Father's Day, and everyday, we remember the priceless life skills we have learned from our Dad's.  

Just wait until I can get up here... there will be no stopping me.  

Things are going really well here. They've made me the Assistant Art Director. They won't let me actually draw with the markers yet, but I do get to chew on them. And, most importantly,I'm having a big impact on the culture. I think we can all agree that I've taken casual Fridays to a whole new level.  

The Reach.  And the Very-Near-Climb. (The toy box is about 16 inches tall for anyone who might be wondering. Or worrying about what this nugget is going to be climbing next.)

Early morning partying might mean  having to leave the apartment so  others can keep sleeping. But partying in the stroller  is harder than it looks.  

Look. I realize the rest of you have had lots of these birthday things, but this is my first one. So, if I want to party all weekend, that's what I'm going to do.   

A day late, but cake and presents were had in a very early Saturday birthday celebration. Thanks to all who helped us celebrate Spencer's first birthday from afar. This presents thing is pretty cool.  

ALL of these are for me? Birthdays are great. (Actual celebration will be tomorrow when Dad is home. Diapers just happened to arrive on the day.)  

Keeping an eye out for anyone who might be trying to sneak up on him.  

It's almost my birthday! Woah. That happened fast.  

One of Spencer’s favorite activities is to pull a bunch of books off the shelf and then sit and look through them. Suffice to say, he'll fit right in.  

Everyone, I think I'm going to like that wet thing over there.  

Toby seems to like these things, whatever they are. I mean, they are colorful.
