Seeing Spencer

Caught him right before he ran away from the camera.  

Spencer found Toby's old ballet shoes and was very excited that they (almost) fit.

I was trying to take a picture of Spencer's blue lips, but it ended up looking like he was listening to a very moving rendition of the Star Spangled Banner.

Daddy's work had a 'Take Your Kids to Work Day' today, so the kis had an adventure. There were bagels, pizza, Marvel activity books, crafts, movies, and games.  I dunno, work seems way better than school, Dad.

One of Spencer's Valentine's from school was a plaster heart you break apart to fine stones inside. We had a great time this evening digging for the treasure.

Years ago, when we were still in Queens, one of our neighbors bought this set for Toby. It was a toy I would never have even considered buying. But 8 years later it's still being played with in our home. So thank you, to Gio and Ingrid. Wherever you two are now, we still think of you.  

In preparation for Valentine's Day, Spencer thought he needed Kissy Eyes (by resting the plume of his Hershey Kiss on his eyelashes).  

You know it's going to be a good party when they give out clappy hands!

When you're in the middle of explaining The Avengers to The Octonauts and you see your mom peeking around the corner.

Before there were Avengers and Batman, there were The Octonauts. Good to be back to exploring, rescuing, and protecting.
