Seeing Spencer

The grim eater.  

How it started. How it's going.  

Someone fell asleep in the stroller and was so tired that they didn't even wake up when I brought them inside.  

Book in hand and hood askew.  

In a nightly tradition, Spencer picks a flag off of Toby's wall, Toby tells him what it is, the name of the capital, amd finds it on his poster.  

Cute and comfy.  

Spencer recently went to a birthday party for one of his classmates at a playplace. This was his favorite part. Also, there was juice and pizza. So, that was pretty good too.  

I have no idea what this thing is, but Spencer was happy to climb on it.  

A couple days ago Spencer was "thinking up an evil plan". I swear I posted it to his blog. But instead, my blog post for Toby showed up on Spencer's blog. And this GIF disappeared. So, either that was Spencer's evil plan. Or mom was just trying to do too much at once.  

Mom was in Massachusetts for the night, so Spencer picked 'Goodnight Massachusetts' fir a bedtime book.  We sent her this picture to tell her goodnight.  

Sure, buddy.  Here were the results:  

He said he needed a hat.  

At this time of year, sometimes it's colder inside than it is outside.  

Come for the toss, stay for the giggle. (Watch with the sound on in order to hear it.)  

This was a picture from school. They were peeling apples. From the looks of it, it was very hard work.  

Spencer got a punch balloon at his most recent birthday party. He's working on his punch balloon moves.  

Toby had a birthday party that overlapped with the Bronco game, so Spencer and I took the opportunity to watch the end of the game and grab a bite. Truly, I just bribed him with fries and a shake.  

Toby had a play date, so Spencer decided he wanted to learn a bit more about "real chess" (as opposed to "Spencer chess" where there are no rules). He didn't play a whole game, but he learned a lot.  

The presentation of Spencer's classwork from the past week is always a treat.  

The fire department visited Spencer's school, and suffice to say he's now a junior firefighter.  

Recounting his favorite parts of the story.

It doesn't feel like October, but it looks a bit more like it at our house.    

Spencer didn't like the idea of carving, so he broke out the paints for his 'Lion Pumpkin'. Results coming soon.
