Seeing Spencer

Playing a game of Race To The Treasure. Fortunately, we were able to beat the Ogre.  

Someone finally got their own barrel chair!  

A beautiful day meant a visit to our old friend the butterfly.  

Well, now I'm rethinking all of my life choices.  

At some point, Spencer will realize he has an above average knowledge of flags, by vitue of living in proximity to Toby...  

Things are about to get crazy (or cute) when you break out the eye protection.  

A boy, a book, and a seagull.  

I'm told this is what you have to do when you hear "elephant ninja warrior race".   

Nice to relax while Toby's in swim class. No pictures right now, please.  

Mornings with slightly more chill in the air require a blanket and a bear.  

Danger is everywhere. Fortunately, these legs were made for jumping.  

Hanging out by the library while we wait for Toby to finish school.  

Working on some new moves.  

Toby likes to think about his coloring, but I like to dive right in.  

We got to see a sea lion show! The kids loved the show but did not want to acquire any sea lion pets. (Which is fine with Mom and Dad.)  

You know you're on vacation when you get to visit a SECOND aquarium! This was Spencer enjoying the Humboldt penguins (who are far too stinky to be pets).  

When you opt to travel without a car, you end up utilizing many modes of transportation. Also, if your brother thinks it's fun to make stinky faces, you probably will too.  

He managed to fight off napping all week, but today it caught up with him.  

One day we will not be able to all squash up together in one big chair. But for the moment, we squash.  

Today was Spencer's first day of pre-K. He was a little nervous about it, but they started the day on the playground which was a big help.  

We found Mayor Fleck! (Who we didn't know existed before we read the Lego City books. But once you know him, you can'tmiss him.)
