Seeing Spencer

Spencer wanted to teach his cousins his version of chess. Cousin Jacki was slightly more receptive than Cousin Harry.  

Even reading books is better when you're on vacation.   

You'll never believe who turned into a turkey.  

I see that it's cold and I am not interested in participating.  

Taking advantage of some warm sun on a crisp day to get some reps in.  

Spencer grabbed this hat to go on our grocery trip today in case it was sunny. He was happy to pose after declaring "don't I look so cute I  this hat?"  

Off and running, hard at play.  

The upside of Dad having to go to the Bahamas for work is that you get to add another cool flag to your collection.  

Working on his letters.  

Don't blink. Or you might miss Super Spencer.   

'Hold On!' has become one of Spencer's go to sayings when he finds something surprising... ... like finding a replica of one of his favorite stuffies in Barnes & Noble. (The stuffie in question is the dinosaur with the party hat. In our house that's Spencer Dino)  

We have some bookcases laying horizontally in the basement at the moment. Spencer took advantage of the opportunity while he could.  

Learning about tool safety from Dad. Finally getting to chomp some cardboard with the Chomp Shop!  

Bugle fingers never go out of style.  

Spencer is an excellent helper.  

You never saw me. I'm not even here.  

Writers gotta write.  

I happened to be in the neighborhood and thought I would pop in.  

Since I missed Spencer jumping in the leaves last time...  

Figuring out the best next move takes a lot of thought.

Sometimes it's important to search out joy. This smile helped me out tonight.   

At some point, I hope to do a whole series of these two reading books together over the years. For now, I just love the moments where they bring their books to the couch to read.
