Seeing Spencer

It's possible that the fastest way to silence for Spencer (and Toby) is a Watermelon Candy Cane. They both gave it a 5 star review after devouring it in one go.  

When Dad brings home 20 flags from work, but he reveals them one at a time, the excitement is hard to beat.

Tonight Spencer wanted to look at this Christmas decoration before bedtime. Realizing I had an opportunity to get some good shots with his face lit up, I took the opportunity to try to direct the shots.  He did not disappoint: "Look closely at the lights": "Look at them with wonder in your eyes": "Look excited for Christmas":

Sometimes you love your Halloween jammies so much that you just can't handle not wearing them. So your mom lets you wear them on top of your other jammies.

We've had our full assortment of stuffed out this week, and tonight Spencer was having a great time arranging them on the couch and talking to them.  

This year's Santa Parade got a better reception than last year's. Spencer still thought it was too loud, but he wasn't crying after watching it. He was also very glad that Santa himself was more of the waving sort (as opposed to the loud "ho ho ho"ing type.)  

You know it's going to be a good day when your brother joins you in getting up at the crack of dawn.  

Blowing some bath bubbles with the big brother to celebrate turning 2-1/2. Happy half-birthday, Spencer!  

Being little has lots of challenges. Even eating cookies can be a challenge. Fortunately, I'm very resourceful.

Spencer takes great delight in "surprising" us when he pops out from under the blanket.  

Taking advantage of an unseasonably warm late fall afternoon to get in a good game of soccer. "Toby, I'm SO open: pass it here!"
