Spencer took it upon himself to entertain Birthday Dinosaur while Toby was busy. He also wore a birthday hat while we were having cupcakes. (Which given how much he hates hats, was a true act of love.)
This afternoon, Spencer was reading Olivia and the Fairy Princesses to Beansie and Little G. In the video you can hear him reciting what he can remember (which is all spot on). It includes princesses from China, Olivia's mother telling her that she'll always be her little princess, and Olivia replying that that's the problem.
"I love holding Toby's hand so much." This is not the best photo, but Spencer has been so happy to hold Toby's hand while we walk to camp and Toby has been so flattered to be the one that Spencer seeks out. Here's hoping their friendship continues to grow.
Spencer singing a bit of the opening number from SpongeBob the Musical. The lyrics - in case you haven't listened to the soundtrack a couple hundred times - are as follows: "SpongeBob, get in the kitchen. It's opening time! In the world renowned, Bikini Bottom. How I love this town, Bikini Bottom."
Waiting for the library to open. Quick snack. These are delicious. Just a few more. While we wait. Hmmm. Now what? Fortunately, my mom is hilarious. Is that the church bell? I can't believe it's 10 o'clock already. Time flies when you're having fun.
When you think things are really getting exciting in the book that you're looking at. (Though your brother is less impressed. Still interested, but not as impressed.)
When you're 2, they let you move the pieces around the board however you like. And then, they cheer for you when you yell out "checkmate!" No wonder Toby loves it so much.
