Gelato!

Image
The upside of not getting your own cup of gelato, is that you get to try everyone else's gelato. You can even get the cone! According to Spencer, there are no bad choices when it comes to gelato flavors. (For some reason, his legs look freakishly long in these shots. I assure you that they are normal size.)

Gatekeeper

Image
Is someone at the gate? Let me just get the latch. Why, hello there! I'm thrilled that you're here, but I can't let you in. I wouldn't be much of a Gatekeeper if I just let everyone in. Thanks for stopping by! Come again tomorrow!

Italy Bus!

Image
One of Spencer's favorite parts about being in Italy was riding the "Italy Bus" (as he called it.) Pretty sure this is where it all started. (Technically, this was the bus that shuttled us to and from our plane in Frankfurt. But it was a great introduction to buses. It might have even been Spencer's first bus ride. Which is pretty exciting after singing thousands of rounds of "The Wheels on the Bus" and pointingout every bus that drives by.) The whole family on the Italy Bus. "I love you, Italy Bus."

Spencer Flies to Italy

Image
I get my own seat. They have TV's on this thing. And the TV's have Bluey! This is awesome. I could stay here forever.  I'm ready for takeoff, Mom. [At least one of us was comfortable on the flight.]

Muddy Puddles

Image
Spencer is big into Peppa Pig these days. So after all of the singing about jumping up and down in muddy puddles, he figured he needed to try it out.

You Can't Be Serious

Image
Come on, Grandpa. I know all about riding the Italy trains by now. What do you mean we're leaving Italy today? That's silly. Why would anyone leave Italy? Wait. I think you're serious. Oh no. I never got to have a cup of gelato all to myself!

When In Lucca...

Make sure you have someone pedal you all around the wall.

Riding Up. Riding down.

This might be the coolest way to hangout with some of my favorite people. What a day!

Welcome to Barga

Image
Hello, I will be your tour guide. I'm new here, but I know how to get around. Right this way, Grandpa. No time for questions. On your left is a green door. (Or as I like to say 'een door.) Hi, Toby! Welcome to my tour group. Watch your step. I should have known that Toby and Grandpa would be silly. Come on, you turkeys. And that concludes this portion of the tour. Please be sure to tip your tour guide with plenty of gelato.

Quality Control

Image
I will be the judge of whether these seats are acceptable or not. I like the numbers on them. That's very nice. They seem very sturdy when I wiggle them. And when I sit in them, they are very comfortable. That's 3 good things. I guess they're pretty good.

Pisa!

Learning about the frescos at the museum with Dad. Listening to the echos in the Baptistry with Mom.

Ita-wheee!

The slides of Lucca comes highly recommended.

Thanks Dad

Thanks, Dad. For helping me find where I'm going. For helping to keep me safe from anything that might be scary. For sitting with me when I'm lost in thought.  I love you, Dad.
