Seeing Spencer

Will no one open this refrigerator for me?! I'm starving!   

Initially, Spencer wanted to hold Toby's hand, but Toby wasn't interested. Then we moved on to a phase where Toby wanted to hold Spencer's hand but Spencer wasn't interested. At this moment in time, they both want to hold each other's hand and it feels like a miracle. I'm sure there will be many more differences of opinion, but we take the wins where we can get them.  

With our fancy track suit from Great Aunt Lynn and Dada's cap on backward, we might be ready for the Jersey Shore.  

When you're wearing your matching sweatshirt, but you're not quite feeling the twin spirt.  

This is the smile of a kiddo who's just served you something that he's hoping will make you say "Blech!"  

When you take a cute selfie with Mom, and you're just so pleased with yourself.  

Toby? I'm pretty sure you're just pretending to be asleep. But this is very realistic.  Maybe he really IS asleep. But I'm still going to keep an eye on him. He's pretty sneaky.  

We found some ducks on our afternoon adventure today. Spencer was pretty excited to see them.  

You probably know this, dear reader, but this is my big brother and my dad. Wait, guys, we were taking a nice picture. Well, if you can't beat 'em... I never stood a chance, dear reader.

The best thing about getting a little taller is that you can finally climb the stuff you've been watching your brother climb for months.  

Sometimes we have dance parties. Sound on for toddler giggles.  

Life really improves when they let you eat ice cream directly out of the pint.  

Occasionally, between the snack requests and the diaper changes, Mom gets to sit on the couch and watch an episode of Bluey with these cuties.  

I'm not entirely sure what all this "birthday" stuff is about. But the cake was delicious. And it was lots of fun ripping the paper off those boxes. 9 out of 10. Would definitely recommend. (But a hard no from me with regard to the silly hats.)  

Reading a story with Dada.  

They repaved our street over April break so the kids got to watch the entire affair. It was very exciting.  

We continue to explore playgrounds that we pass by close to home. Today we found this giant turtle.  Spencer was very impressed.  

So much fun seeing Cousin Harry! (These are a little blurry, but too cute not to share.)  

 We took the kids to for an adventure see The Very Hungry Caterpillar.  It was Spencer's first time at the theater, and he was not disappointed. He wasn't quite sure what is happening pre-show, but going along with it. By the time the show began he was quite interested. As it continued applause became enthusiastic... ... and some characters were so exciting that kisses had to be blown.

Happy 22 Months, Mr. Roo.  

Aww man! Toby already got the eggs on this side. Wait! Here's one! Ooh! A blue one. These are all mine? Hmm. What's in here? Well, this new form of chocolate is certainly delicious.  Yes. I give this event 5 stars. Let's do it again tomorrow.
